Options:  Printers and Hardware

Receipt Printer Driver:  Select the driver you want to use.  Direct to COM1 should be used for serial printers; drivers will cause issues.

Report Printer Driver:  Select the printer to be used for printing reports, such as the Detailed Daily Report.

Barcode Printer Driver:  Select the label printer driver

Cipherlab 8000 Inventory Device:  Com Port and Speed should be set to match the settings within device manager, and then on the device itself.  If you are not using the Cipherlab 8000, you can leave these settings alone.

Receipt Printer Type:  Select the type of printer you are using.  Star covers most star printers; epson covers most everything else, and laser/deskjet covers desktop sized printers.  Epson must be selected here to use the couponing feature; Star can be selected with a USB driver to turn this off.

Pole Display:  If you are using a customer display device, this must be checked.  These come in two main flavors; either the LCD screen or the full fledged rear display.  For an LCD display, set the com port and the pole display type for your device.  If you are using ExtremePOS Customer Display with a rear display, check rear display.

Receipt Cutter:  If you're using a serial receipt printer with a cutter, then check this box and select the appropriate command in the command box.  27,112,0,75,250 is for star printers; 27,105 for the epson printer.

Cash Drawer:  If you're using a serial receipt printer with a cash drawer, select the proper port and command for the cash drawer open.  27,7,11,55,7 is for star printers; 27,112,0,25,250 is for epson printers.  Leave this at none with a USB printer.

Print Logo:  If you're using a serial receipt print and have loaded a logo, check this box and put in the command.  28,112,0,48 is the most common command for this.

Scale:  This is a legacy feature and is no longer particularly supported.
